Precision Milled Restorations/Copings and Bridges
At The Tooth Studio, we are trying to find ways of managing gold cost. That is where Precision Milled Restorations, comes into the equation. Currently we have at our disposal, a titanium and cobalt chromium option, and we are waiting on a high noble or noble equivalent.

Currently we offer:
Straumann Milled Restorations- Ticon(titanium), and Coron(chromium cobalt)
NobeProcera Precision Milled Restorations, Titanium and Chromium Cobalt
The NobelProcera portfolio offers customized, precision-milled dental prosthetics for all indications. Each individual framework is expertly manufactured for superb strength, excellent esthetics and precision of fit. NobelProcera's superior materials selection promotes excellent soft tissue integration.
Titanium is the most biocompatible metal and has exceptional strength. We apply GC Intial porcelain from GC America [link to GC intial]. The copings are milled to .4 mm thickness minimum out of a single solid monoblock for a consistent reliable material. We design the substructures to be the correct foundation for optimal porcelain strength.

Cobalt Chromium is veneered with d.sign porcelain, from ivoclar. It is a flouriapatite crystalline structure that closely mimics enamel. The color and beauty of d.sign is perfect on any gold or white alloy. The same is true for chrome cobalt. The alloy is beryllium free (a toxin that was used to make casting easier), and the alloy is also nickel-free. The chrome cobalt is a biocompatible metal that is applicable in all indications for tooth and implant supported restorations. The restorations are milled as thin as .4mm and with the power of the CAD software we can design them for optimal veneering support.

GC Initial Titanium
GC has developed a special ceramic line for veneering of titanium frameworks and has integrated them into the GC Initial Ceramic System. As we all know, there are definite medical indications where titanium offers a real alternative. GC Initial Ti is always indicated in situations where especially high demands are placed on biocompatibility and the most superior aesthetics are expected, but full ceramic may not or cannot be applied. Firing is carried out at 780 °C (1st firing). The coefficient of thermal expansion is 8.6x10-6 K-1 (25 °-500 °C) – an optimum, specifically matched value that is unyieldingly adapted to the titanium base material. The coefficients of thermal expansion (CTE) of the GC Initial Systems are precisely aligned with those of the respective framework materials.
Nobel Titanium
NobelProcera Titanium is highly biocompatible and produces excellent soft tissue response. This material represents an excellent alternative in cases where the clinical situation limits the application of Zirconia frameworks.
NobelProcera Titanium restorations are milled from a solid monobloc for extraordinary strength and precision of fit. NobelProcera Titanium offers a cost-efficient alternative to casted PFMs for temporary and final prosthetics.
