Custom StressBreaker

- Designed and only available by The Tooth Studio

- New Improved Design on an old theme
At The Tooth Studio, Brad Mitchell and Bryan McCarty have come up with an upside down stress breaker constructed from a semi precision plastic breaker that is modified to make the bottom larger, to seal andcontact flush with tissue. We call it a custom inverted stress breaker.
With the patients not wanting to see any metal we had to come up with this patented process. We created a way to dissipate some forces in order to fit certain occlusal schemes.
It is also a tool that we use to tie implants into natural dentition, and is the system we use to achieve stability and protect teeth and implants.
Custom Inverted StressBreaker PFM Bridge
This patient had a heavy ooclusion on the distal molar and his last bridge rocked up on the bicuspid which worked itself loose over time. With this custom inverted stress breaker the molar now can compress on the periodontal ligaments and it will slide gingivally/occlusally with no stress on the pontic or the bicuspid. So we have taken out the fulcrum of rocking that would exist on a solid three-unit bridge.
